Nuts:3d type

I designed a typeface based on nuts(and bolts) for a college brief and the second part of that brief was to make it 3D.
It felt daunting making type 3d as we are so used to seeing it printed or on a computer screen as a 2d image.I made the typeface out of wood and decided to make a couple more and build up a relief. Each cut out was smaller than the other so when put together the tails/extenders would appear to sprout out from the foreground type.
As this typeface was based on nuts,I thought it would be appropriate to photograph it in a workers environment; tools etc.So I went along with my dad on one of his jobs and decided it was the perfect opportunity to photograph it.
